B.Sc Physics

Objective : 

The purpose of the course is to furnish an introductory account of the basic principles of Physics & a detailed study of Atomic, Nuclear, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity, Solid State Physics, Spectroscopy, Electronic & Communication, Digital Electronics, Computer Programming in C language apart from Mechanics, Properties of Matter, Acoustics, Thermo Dynamics, Statistical Physics Optics, Electricity & Magnetism, Environmental Physics. It also provides an intelligent use of the existing devices & methods.

Eligibility :

Candidates seeking admission for Bachelor of Science - Physics should have passed the Higher Secondary examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate of Periyar University.

Duration :

The course for the degree of Bachelor of Science - Physics consists of three academic years divided into six semesters.
